Mammograms and Pap Smears (MAPS)Back to Genesis Cancer Center

The Iowa Breast & Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program is continually seeking women to participate in an ongoing initiative to reduce deaths from breast and cervical cancer. Participants are provided annual mammograms and pap smears, and a limited number of diagnostic tests at no cost. These exams may usually be obtained from your family physician. If you do not have a family physician, care will be arranged by the program coordinator.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • 40 Years of age or over
    AND
  • Uninsured
    OR
  • Insured but deductible applies to these exams
    OR
  • Have Medicare part A but not part B
    AND
  • Income is below:
     
    $21,475 for household of 1
    $29,025 for household of 2
    $36,575 for household of 3
    $44,125 for household of 4
    $51,675 for household of 5
    $59,225 for household of 6
    $66,775 for household of 7
    $74,325 for household of 8
  • Proof of income is NOT required!

This program is managed locally through a grant to the Scott County Health Department in partnership with Genesis Medical Center. Funding is provided by the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention and The Iowa Department of Public Health.
