Reducing Heart Disease Risk for Minorities
Hearts of the Quad Cities is an action group of professionals and community members interested in reducing the risk and complications of heart disease among minority Scott County residents. By collaborating with churches, health agencies and minority organizations this group provides screening, identification of risk factors and offers follow-up and education to those identified as "high moderate" to "high" risk. Cooperating agencies include: Genesis Health System, Scott County Health Department, American Heart Association, Community Health Care, Trinity Medical Center - North Campus, CASI, St. Ambrose University, American Diabetes Association and LULAC.
