Heart Health

Heart care inside Genesis Health System is available in a number of locations including Genesis Medical Center, DeWitt, Genesis Medical Center, Davenport, and Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus.

A cardiology clinic and routine cardiac diagnostic tests are available at Genesis Medical Center, DeWitt. 

Illini Campus offers access to specialists, cardiac diagnostic testing and emergency treatment. The hospital has upgraded its $1.2 million catheterization lab in 2002 to enhance its diagnostic capabilities, and cardiologists began performing emergency angioplasty for life-saving efforts where minutes count in preventing major damage to the heart muscle.

Genesis Medical Center, Davenport provides a full spectrum of cardiac care.  The Genesis Heart Institute building houses outpatient testing, physician offices, and cardiac rehabilitation. The 2nd floor of the East Rusholme campus medical center features newly renovated surgical, catheterization and electrophysiology treatment areas. The upgrade expands heart care capabilities to six interventional catheterization labs and two electrophysiology labs. Two new surgical suites capable of handling robotic technologies have also been added to prepare for advances in open-heart treatment.
