Membership Guide
Genesis Health System welcomes you as a member of our HealthQuest program. This mailing includes your membership card, parking sticker and information on how HealthQuest makes it easy for you to receive information or assistance with health-related needs.
HealthQuest Coordinator
Each of our hospitals has a coordinator who can connect you to the right person for help with everything from assistance with insurance questions to enrolling in a health class or arranging post-hospital care. After looking over this information, please feel free to call your HealthQuest Coordinator with any comments or questions you may have concerning the program.

HealthQuest Newsletter
Each HealthQuest household will receive our newsletter. It's designed to bring you timely information about educational programs, activities, discounts, health tips and hospital services. Every other month you will receive this colorful, fun to read publication.
Educational Programs
Genesis, Illini and DeWitt each offer a number of health-related screenings all year round, such as glaucoma, cholesterol and osteoporosis screenings. We also offer a variety of educational classes. Future programs may address such areas as stress management, healthy eating, retirement and financial planning, social security and more. Watch for details in your HealthQuest newsletter.
Insurance and Financial Assistance
Unfortunately, insurance coverage and paying for a hospital visit often cause stress and concern for patients. We want to help! As a HealthQuest member, you are entitled to free assistance with your questions about Medicare Part A, Part B and other insurances for any inpatient or outpatient services you receive at a Genesis Health System facility. Call the coordinator near you to schedule an appointment. If you have a concern about paying a hospital bill, our staff can help you investigate the options and resources available to you including our Financial Assistance Program. Iowa residents can access SHIIP Counselors (state of Iowa program) who can help you in choosing a good medical supplement or long term health care plan and advice on switching from one plan to another because of premium increases. Call 563-421-1095 or 800-383-2555

Meal Programs
A well balanced diet is important to maintaining your health. Members of HealthQuest are entitled to a discount in the Genesis and Illini cafeterias, located on the first floor of each hospital. Just present your HealthQuest membership card to the cashier. All HealthQuest members are invited to attend special low cost buffet dinners held on Sundays at Genesis Medical Center from 10:45 to 11:45. Each meal also features special entertainment. Cost of the meal is just $3 per person. Call Genesis On Call at 421-2000 or 800-383-2575 to make a reservation and confirm the location. DeWitt offers special dinner educational programs on a monthly basis, watch the newsletter for details.
Parking Privileges
Each of our hospital locations have a limited number of special parking spaces for HealthQuest members. Place the sticker, included in this mailing, in your car's rear window and enjoy convenient parking in the spaces with the HealthQuest sign.
Special Events/Trips
The HealthQuest Coordinators plan fun, low cost outings to area theatres, casinos, sports venues and more! We also plan extended trips to locations like Branson, Missouri or Washington D.C. Motorcoach's pick-up travelers in DeWitt, Davenport and the East Moline/Silvis area. Watch the newsletter for notices and trip details.
Discounts
Please refer to the Community Discounts booklet that accompanied this mailing for a complete list of retailers in our area and the discounts they offer our members. Genesis Health System affiliates offer you discounts on the following services:
10% Prescription savings - As a HealthQuest member, your free membership card entitles you to a 10% discount on prescriptions not covered by insurance at Genesis FirstMed Pharmacy, (located on the lower level of the East campus) Illini Clinic Pharmacy and all Quad City area Osco pharmacies.
Lifeline installation - the in-home emergency alert system, which works in conjunction with your phone to notify relatives, friends and medical personnel in an emergency.
Medical Equipment and Supplies - Genesis Continuing Care Specialists and Illini Medical Equipment & Supply offer a 10% discount on cash, check or credit card purchases (cannot extend discount if we must file for insurance) of select medical supplies and equipment for use in your home. Additional Services
Genesis On Call - this free confidential telephone service is staffed by registered nurses. They can answer your health questions, provide a physician referral and direct you to community resources.

Notary Public Service - is available to members at the hospital during normal business hours. Call the HealthQuest coordinator near you for details.
Volunteer Opportunities - staying active is an important part of staying healthy and volunteers are an invaluable component of hospital care.
