Who the Visiting Nurse Association Helps

  • A person who has been discharged from the hospital and is well but not fully recovered, such as after surgery or child birth
  • A person who has recently developed a disease and needs help learning to cope
  • A premature infant and his parents
  • Someone with a terminal illness needing pain control and emotional support
  • Someone with limited mobility needing help with daily tasks such as the elderly, stroke or fracture victims
  • A spouse or other caregiver needing help to relieve them from the constant burden of caring for an ill loved one at home.
