Quality Care

The Genesis Orthopedic Unit is one of the most active departments for total joint replacements in the Quad Cities region. Comprised of registered nurses,  certified nursing assistants and unit assistants, the Orthopedics staff cares for patients with musculoskeletal problems. Services include hip replacement, knee replacements, tendon and ligament repairs, spinal surgery and treatment of traumatic injuries. Working on restorative and rehabilitative care and education, the unit collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to ensure each patient receives quality care. After discharge from acute care, the newly renovated unit on the West Central Park Campus helps facilitate further treatment in the inpatient rehab unit or at home, with outpatient rehab as needed.  Nurses also help  patients' support person obtain rehabilitative equipment for their loved ones.
