Treatment
Additional offerings include independent After Care programs, athletic training services, physical therapy screenings, and references to Power Sports Performance, our athletic enhancement program for athletes of all levels. We feel it is extremely important to support both the health and quality of life in our community. Our clinic is a member of the North Scott Chamber of Commerce, sponsors a town ball team, and is a strong supporter of many North Scott School District activities and programs. This allows us to develop long lasting relationships while providing you with excellent care.
Outpatient services are available for patients who have moderate to severe physical limitations and who can travel to receive care. Back, soft tissue, sports medicine and work-related injuries are the most frequent ailments referred to outpatient therapy.
Other ailments commonly treated in an outpatient setting include:
- Spinal dysfunction
- Chronic pain
- Pain from motor vehicle accidents or other trauma
- Cumulative trauma disorders such as carpal tunnel syndrome
- Balance disorders
- Joint replacement and revisions (most common total hip or knee surgeries)
- Nerve injuries
- Amputations
- Neurological disorders
- Soft tissue disorders
- Vestibular disorders
- Speech disorders
Genesis Physical Rehabilitation-Eldridge provides our patients with the most up-to-date therapeutic services and helps the patient return to or increase their prior level of functioning. The center provides outpatient physical, occupational, and speech therapy services provided by highly educated therapists. All of our therapists stay abreast of the latest techniques and technology in their respective fields by regularly attending continuing education courses. The therapists are supported by a friendly staff of administrative assistants.

Karen Stiedler, PT, MPT
Title: Physical Therapist and Supervisor
School and Year of Graduation: St. Ambrose University 1996, MPT

Specialization/Certification: Karen has been working with Genesis since 1997, serving in a variety of settings including acute care, rehabilitation care, skilled care, and home care. She has developed a comprehensive skill-set with primary focus on stroke, spinal cord, and traumatic brain injury patients. Karen received her certification in Neuro-Development Treatment (NDT) technique in 1999 to increase functional outcomes to those suffering from neurological diseases and conditions. Karen's treatment style focuses on vestibular and balance disorders, general orthopedic, general neurological conditions, and wheelchair evaluations and assessments. Karen enjoys working with the adolescent and teenage athletes within the local community.
Kirsten Treiber, PT, MPT

Specialization/Certification: Kirsten has worked in a variety of clinical settings since becoming a physical therapist. Kirsten opened the Eldridge clinic in 2008 and she currently treats patients at this location as well. She treats a variety of conditions including orthopedic and sports injuries, neurological conditions, and movement dysfunction. She has a special interest in total joint replacement. Regardless of the diagnosis, Kirsten's goal is to provide the highest quality care with ongoing patient education in a positive, friendly clinic atmosphere.
Janelle Dickman, PT, MPT

School and Year of Graduation: University of Northern Iowa 1998; University of Iowa 2000, MPT

Specialization/Certification: Janelle has a great deal of experience in outpatient orthopedics and treatment of work related injuries. Since joining Genesis she has expanded her patient population to include generalized orthopedics, geriatrics, and sports medicine. Janelle has focused much of her continuing education in the Maitland Australian approach to manual therapy.
Community/Recreational Activities: Janelle enjoys spending time with her family, helping with church activities and volunteering in her children's classrooms.
Carolyn Beckman, PT, DPT

Specialization/Certification: Carolyn's treatment focus is in general orthopedics, sports injuries, and functional geriatric orthopedic rehabilitation.
Community/Recreational Activities: Carolyn was born and raised in the Quad Cities area. She has previous competitive athletic experience in dance and softball pitching. She currently enjoys recreational tennis and golf.
Jennifer Orfitelli, PT, DPT

Specialization/Certification: Jennifer specializes in outpatient orthopedics. In addition, she specializes in the treatment of vertigo.
Community/Recreational Activities: Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family, friends, reading, and participating in outdoor activities and sports. In her free time she also likes volunteering at her church and her daughter's daycare.
