Genesis Wound and Hyperbaric Institute
Genesis Medical Center's Wound and Hyperbaric Institute is dedicated to the management and care of problematic wounds and the ongoing care of ostomy patients. We are staffed by a specially trained team of doctors, nurses and other health care workers dedicated to the multidisciplinary treatment of wound healing problems. Our clinicians can improve the outcome of healing by applying research-based care.
The Institute is a collaboration of Genesis and Wound Management Consultants, led by Brad DeWall, M.D. The longtime surgeons and wound care specialist is leading a major service expansion and renovation that has brought hyperbaric oxygen therapy to Genesis.
The exciting expansion will take wound care to a higher level for your patients and respond to a significant community need.
Upon initial evaluation, a plan of care is developed with the patient. Consultation with other services or healthcare professionals is readily available for special needs and/or counseling. Treatment plans may include one or more of the following:
- Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
- Infectious disease
- Diabetes educator
- Home care nursing
- Social services
- Orthotic/prosthetic services
- Occupational or physical therapy
Genesis Medical Center will bill Medicare and/or other insurance companies for services provided at the Wound and Hyperbaric Institute. A separate physician bill will be submitted when the patient is seen by a clinic physician.
