GMC Volunteers

It would be important for potential volunteers to know the following information:

• Assignments are available on the East and West campuses, Bettendorf Plaza and Valley Fair Outpatient Rehab.
• You have a choice of assignment and schedule, as long as we have an opening in the desired area of service
• There is no minimum hours requirement, though the average volunteer serves 16 hours a month.
• You must purchase your own uniform.  Prices range from $5.00-$24.00, depending on the uniform you choose.
• The steps to become a volunteer are:
  • complete an application form which can be obtained by calling Volunteer Services at 563-421-2186,
  • complete a personal interview and attend an orientation class.
• All adult volunteers are invited to join the Auxiliary.  Annual dues are $5.00 a year.
• Membership benefits include:  receiving the monthly newsletter, being invited to the annual meeting, opportunity to have a courtesy charge account in the gift shop.
