Bio: Croken joined Genesis in 2003, bringing more than 20 years of strategic marketing and communications experience in the consumer, technology, entertainment, non-profit, professional services and political arenas. Croken served as senior vice president with Edelman Public Relations Worldwide in New York City, the world's largest independent public relations agency. At Edelman, Croken managed industry-leading technology and consumer tech national accounts, including Fujifilm. Prior to Edelman, Croken was vice president of Corporate Communications for Norstan, Inc., in the Twin Cities, and during a 13-year career with IBM Corporation, he managed communications and marketing programs of increasing magnitude, concluding as public relations manager for the company's Global Government Marketing organization in Washington, D.C.
Croken also served as a Capitol Hill press secretary and as the public information officer for Save the Children Federation, Inc. Croken and wife, Kathryn McKnight, a nurse and Assistant Professor of Nursing and Director of the Master of Science in Nursing Program at St. Ambrose University, have two children, Anne and Matthew.
