Richard Kishiue, M.D., FACOG

President, Genesis Health Group

Areas of Responsibility: As medical and administrative head of Genesis Health Group (GHG), the largest multi-specialty physician group in the region, Dr. Kishiue is responsible for all business unit operations and leads the GHG management team of five physician division chairs and an administrator. GHG has nearly 700 employees, more than 40 clinics in Iowa and Illinois – spanning Muscatine to Erie and DeWitt to Aledo, and eight ancillary service locations (x-ray, laboratory, etc.) within or near the clinics.

Bio: Dr. Kishiue, a founding member of Genesis Health Group, is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, caring for patients in the Quad Cities since 1985. After serving in the Vietnam War as a Navy hospital corpsman, Dr. Kishiue received his bachelor’s degree in Zoology from the University of California-Davis and his medical degree from University of Iowa College of Medicine in 1981. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. His special interests include minimally-invasive surgery, and he was one of the first physicians to perform hysterectomies at Genesis using the da Vinci robotic surgery system.

Dr. Kishiue is a Fellow in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, a Fellow in the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists and a Diplomat, National Board of Medical Examiners. He is a member of the Peer Review Committee of the Iowa State Board of Medical Examiners and has served in many other administrative and clinical roles, including President of the Scott County Medical Society, President of the Genesis Medical Center, Davenport, Medical Staff and member of the GMC Davenport Board of Directors.

Dr. Kishiue is a member of the University of Iowa Presidents Club and a officer and board member of the Davenport Quarterback Club. He has two daughters, Susan and Sara, a son, Scott, and five grandchildren.
