We Count! Quad Cities
Quad-Citizens, you count to us. And now, it is time to be counted.
Every ten years in the United States the federal government initiates an effort to count all people who are living in the United States. This effort is called a census. The census is important for several reasons, including:
- Ensure public services and funding for schools, hospitals, and fire departments.
- Plan new homes and businesses and improve neighborhoods.
- Determine how many seats your state is allocated in the House of Representatives.
Genesis Health System encourages everyone to do their civic duty to stand up and be counted.
Currently the Quad-Cities area is behind the pace in collecting census data from it's citizens. Incomplete census data would be detrimental to our community, which is why Genesis is encouraging all Quad-Citizens to complete the census. Doing so is easy and takes just 10 minutes. Also, completing the online form now
will also prevent a census taker from knocking on your door later this summer or in the fall.
As the COVID-19 fight continues, we all are looking for ways to help our community. Spend a few moments online today to impact the next 10 years of health care, infrastructure and education.
