All aspects of labor, birth relaxation techniques as an alternative to medication during labor, as well as information on medication to relieve active labor discomfort. We will cover postpartum care also. Participants will receive "The Gift of MotherHood, your personal journey through prepared childbirth", our handbook for childbirth preparation. Class size averages 10 to 12 mother with support person(s).

Included in this session is the Cesarean Birth Class. Information includes indication for a cesarean, types of anesthesia commonly used, surgical procedures, postpartum and videotape of a family-centered cesarean birth. In order to have a coach-attended cesarean delivery, you support person must attend this class. 

This comprehensive 3 week series of classes will cover all aspects of labor and birth. The class will meet once a week for two and a half hours beginning on the date listed

Classes should be scheduled to end approximately four weeks prior to Mom's due date & are offered every other month.

Please Note: Classes maybe canceled due to low registration.

Minimum registration is 3 couples.

 ALL THE CLASSES WILL BE HELD IN THE LARSON CENTER  855 ILLINI DRIVE, SILVIS, IL.  CLASSROOMS B & C.
