How to Help with Supply Needs for Health Care Workers - Genesis Health System

Community Compassion Campaign

Donate Hand Sewn Masks

Salvation Army Serves as Collection Point for COVID-19 Outbreak Emergency Donations

Genesis currently has the protective gear and supplies needed to protect our employees as they care for patients. However, donations of hand sewn mask from the public can help supplement our stocks.

SEWING VOLUNTEERS

For the many local sewers who have inquired about making basic face masks or N95 mask covers for health care workers, preferred patterns, along with sewing instructions, can be found here:

  1. N95 Face Mask Covers
  2. Basic Face Masks

If you already have made masks that are different from these patterns, don’t worry. ALL hand sewn masks will be accepted and all sewn masks can be dropped at Salvation Army.

ALL donations are being funneled through the Quad Cities COVID-19 Coalition. The Salvation Army is handling the donations on behalf of the Coalition, serving as a central drop-off point. It will then work with county emergency management agencies to distribute donations back to Genesis and other organizations as needed.

Where to drop off donations: Donations can be dropped off at the Salvation Army location at 100 Kirkwood Blvd., Davenport, on Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Donation supplies: Anyone wishing to donate supplies is advised to call (563) 324-4808 first. Donors should prepare for a high volume of calls, have patience, and leave a message if their call is unanswered.

Thank you for being in this COVID-19 fight together. #InThisTogether with our Community.
