Every day I come to work, I get the chance to improve someone's quality of life. This gives me the drive to continue to improve myself, and I love that every day in the clinic is different.
I knew that I wanted to go into the healthcare field for a long time, which was influenced by my mother and sister both going into this field. I really like the fact that physical therapy allows me to make a positive difference in people's lives while also allowing me to help others become more active. I believe one's relationship with their patient can be just as important as the exercise and education you give them, so I strive to make all my patients feel welcome and cared for.
I am an orthopedic physical therapist, and I tend to be more manually based. I enjoy working with athletes, but I enjoy variety as well. I have had the opportunity to work with many different diagnoses, including dizziness or musculoskeletal pains ranging from the jaw down to the foot.
I enjoy spending time with family and friends, and I like to travel. Sports are a big part of my life, and I played baseball and tennis growing up as well as running track and cross country. I later played tennis at the collegiate level. I love watching my favorite New England sports teams compete, and I usually enjoy watching the Hawkeyes play as well (depends on the game).
