One of my personal values in life is connection with others. As a therapist, I am everyday given the opportunity to experience true connection with my clients and bear witness to their growth and healing. When people have the space to openly and honestly share their story without judgment, I am given the ability to be part of their journey. It is beyond rewarding.
Dr. Fields’ approach in therapy is relational in nature and as a result, places high priority in building a solid therapeutic relationship and sees this as the basis for change. Once a therapeutic relationship has been developed, Dr. Fields would pull upon evidence based techniques proven to help people overcome common psychological problems. Specifically, she values the use of exposure therapy with response prevention and emotional education/awareness to help her clients move towards change.

Throughout the past ten years, Dr. Fields has had the amazing opportunity of working at some of the top eating disorder treatment facilities in the nation including Oliver-Pyatt Centers where she was a past Clinical Director and The Renfrew Center where she worked as Team Leader. This experience has not only helped her become an expert in the treatment of Anorexia, Bulimia and Binge Eating Disorders, but also provided invaluable experience working with a variety of everyday psychological struggles including posttraumatic stress disorder, personality disorders, depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, substance abuse, and body image concerns.
Dr. Fields is a Florida native who is Mom to two adorable kitties, Roxy and Corky. While outside of the work setting she spends time with her family and tries to travel as often as she can. Since moving to Iowa, Dr. Fields has been busy exploring the Quad Cities. Now that she has moved from the busy city of Miami to a smaller town, life has slowed down and she has the time to finally hone her cooking skills and read some books that have been on her to do list.
