Emergencies don't discriminate, at some point we all experience them. When that happens I want to use my training, knowledge, and skills to not only treat my patients; but also ensure that their experience is as pleasant as possible.
My philosophy of care is simple: I want to be the one to help you when you need it most.
Medicine is in my blood. My father was an ophthalmologist and as a young child I loved watching videos on the latest surgical techniques, my favorite bedtime stories were JAMA articles, and I loved rounding at the nursing homes with him. After college I worked as a Paramedic in Iowa City for a number of years but I was compelled to go back to school so that I could learn how to better serve my patients.
