I enjoy being a speech language pathologist because I believe everyone has a voice and deserves to be heard. Communication is an essential component to all relationships and I love being able to help facilitate appropriate language to promote successful communication exchanges.

My philosophy of care is that we treat individuals, not disabilities. I believe if a child enjoys their therapy sessions they become active and focused participants in the learning process. Children that are having fun work harder, and make greater progress. I believe it's important to develop care plans that are patient specific as well as home exercise programs to promote at home speech and language stimulation.

Areas Of Interest

I love working with a variety of patient populations ranging from pediatrics to adults. I find challenging cases the most exciting and rewarding. With the pediatric population I enjoy working with children who have articulation and/or phonological disorders, language delays, and pragmatics/social communication deficits. With the adult population I enjoy treating the Parkinson's population using the SPEAK OUT!® protocol. I also enjoy treating concussions, aphasia, cognitive linguistic deficits, and dysarthria.

I'm originally from the Chicago-land suburbs and am newly married. In my spare time I enjoy hiking, camping, backpacking, quilting, and DIY projects.  I'm a reality TV junkie and thoroughly enjoying watching The Bachelor!
