Genesis Flood Relief Efforts

The historic flooding within our community is felt by each and every one of us. Not only have members of the Genesis family been directly impacted, but also the patients for whom we care.

Over the past week, we've heard countless stories about flooded homes and businesses and the lives altered. But we've also heard about friends and neighbors coming together to support one another.

We're "in this together" with our community as we stride towards recovery. That's why Genesis is launching a Flood Relief Fund. All funds will be directed to local community relief efforts.

Genesis has been “in this together” with our community for 150 years. We are caregivers. Compassion is in our DNA. And, Genesis is the largest employer of Scott County, one of the hardest hit communities. With 5,000 strong, what better way to commemorate this year’s Mission Month than to help our neighbors and Genesis colleagues impacted by a Mississippi River flood of historic proportions? During the Great Flood of 2019, our mission of “compassionate, quality health services to all those in need” must extend beyond the walls of our medical centers and clinics and out to the community and residents we serve. – President & CEO, Doug Cropper.
