My passion for being a healthcare provider comes from my love of caring for people and helping them make improvements in their quality of life.
My philosophy of care is to help each person overcome their personal health obstacles and give them a chance to achieve the quality of life they desire. This philosophy is what pushed me into the medical field.
I decided to become a PA when I was freshman in high school. I watched my family medicine PA care for my brother. My brother has a skin condition called epidermolysis bullosa simplex that mainly affects his feet and causes him to qet half-dollar sized blisters with even the slightest amount of friction. This would be a real issue for anyone it affected, but especially for a young athlete who wants to work hard every day in hopes to accomplish his dream of playing at a professional level. It was our PA that heard this dream and went above and beyond to learn more about the disease and find the best specialist for him to see. She was an integral part of getting him to where he is now, able to practice daily and compete all weekend long. I'm now lucky enough to have the chance to be a part of helping patients overcome their personal health obstacles in order to reach or return to the health they need to accomplish their goals. I will strive to treat each patient with the respect and empathy they deserve and in doing so make each person feel cared for.

Areas Of Interest
I am interested in so many aspects of medicine, which is why I'm in the general practice of convenient care! I enjoy being able to see a wide variety of complaints and mix in some procedures as well!
I grew up in a small town in central Iowa. For college, I attended Taylor University in Indiana where I was a softball pitcher and majored in Biology. I moved to Indianapolis to attend PA school at Butler. Shortly after graduation, I got married and have been in the Quad Cities since!
My husband and I love to do anything competitive. Pickle ball, card games, you name it. I am a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and love watching my younger brother's sporting events. I enjoy going to church and spending time with family and friends. Another hobby of mine is baking, but I'm not sure if it's the actual process of making the sweets or tasting the finished product that I love more!
