Martin Wallace Carpenter, MD
People are the most interesting thing on planet Earth. Being invited into the process of life by a person in pain is truly the greatest honor a doctor can receive.
My father was the quintessential "country doctor" and medicine was all I knew growing up. My philosophy of care is that patients are people who have an illness, not cases that need to be fixed. In order to help a person, you must first understand who they are are then you can proceed with treatment.
