I am passionate about seeing patients progress to a better quality of life. I also strive to give patients and families a realistic and thorough explanation of their disease and what to expect.
I think about how I would want to be treated and also my loved ones. The main component of this sentiment revolves around effective and compassionate communication. I was drawn to medicine by witnessing my "small town family doc" father. He inspires me to this day.

I am originally from Georgia where I went to college and medical school. I ventured up to the Northeast Corridor to complete my training in the Philadelphia area. I was fortunate enough to meet my wife and I am now proud to call myself an Iowan! I enjoy family-time especially cookouts, dinner parties, and outdoor activities. I enjoy camping and hiking. I am also a "baseball nut" and can't wait to go to River Bandits games.
