Treiber Construction is helping a Genesis nurse manager complete her master's degree in nursing. Huron Consulting Group is transforming an unsightly rooftop into a "green" therapeutic view for longer-stay hospital patients.
These local businesses, and several others throughout the region, are accomplishing their charitable goals through giving to the Genesis Foundation.
Event sponsorships, as well as gifts designated for specific outreach programs and areas of care, allow area businesses to play a significant role in the community's health.
"Companies, just like individuals, have a charitable personality," says Missy Gowey, executive director of the Genesis Foundation. "We're inviting business leaders to invest in those programs that are a good fit with their company's values and culture. Often, it's a group of employees that review requests and make recommendations for giving based on the company's mission and vision.
"Even in a tough economic climate, we've received great support from our business partners. I think many view giving to the Foundation as contributing to their employees' health and well being. From a business perspective, it's a good return on investment," says Gowey.
Foundation staff members will work with companies to identify the right fit for giving. To learn more, call 563-421-6865 or email Missy.
Thank you for investing in quality health care at Genesis!
