Projects & Events
Flu-Free Quad Cities
In 2017, over 8,000 students in 87 elementary schools received free seasonal flu vaccines through Flu-Free QC. This program is completely charitably funded. There is no cost to the school district, school, or family to participate. We rely on the generosity of individuals, organizations, grants and businesses to ensure that every child who has parental consent receives their free flu shot.
Pro-Am Golf Challenge
The 24nd annual Genesis Foundation Pro-Am Challenge will be held on August 27, 2018. In 2017, more than 260 amatures and PGA Pros teamed up to raise $126,991 for Nursing Scholarships and other health related programs. Thank you to our Title sponsor Quad Cities and Quad City Bank & Trust.
Every year, on the national observance known as Doctors' Day (March 30th), Genesis Health System takes the opportunity to honor and celebrate our affiliated physicians.
Honor a Doctor
Residents of the Quad Cities are invited to honor the memory of loved ones and focus attention on the continuing and growing need of hospice care in the community.

Elizabeth Grace Sleep Sack Project
In October 2014, the Genesis Foundation in cooperation with the Genesis Birth Center launched the Elizabeth Grace Sleep Sack Project. Through this project, each of the 2,300 babies born annually at Genesis Medical Center will be sent home with a Halo® Infant Sleepsack.
Throughout the last five years, more than 55% of the Genesis employees who had MetS in 2009 no longer have the condition in 2014 thanks to the healthy lifestyle techniques taught by the Naturally Slim™ curriculum.
