Inspiring Hospice Care Professionals
Hospice care professionals all have those days, weeks, maybe even months, that get really stressful. Sometimes, those rough patches can leave them wondering why they chose such a physically and mentally exhausting profession. Every now and then though, they get to care for someone, or hear from a family, who shows them exactly why they do what they do. These cases, these hospice patients, provide the inspiration needed to do their jobs despite how challenging they can be. Robert Lynch was a hospice patient who provided inspiration, and his family's thankfulness is so meaningful to the work hospice care providers perform each day.
A Letter from Robert Lynch's family:
On behalf of Robert Lynch, and the rest of our family, I would like to thank you for your kindness this past week in caring for my uncle in his last days. The attentiveness of the staff and their professionalism was exemplary, and we would like you to know just how much it was appreciated.
Robert asked that hospice be mentioned as a memorial in his honor so I am forwarding $220, which was received at the time of his funeral. I believe there may be other monies that will be sent from other individuals and can't imagine a better place for the money to go.
Your facility is absolutely wonderful, as is your staff. You made an excruciatingly painful few days bearable. As I told one of your nurses, you all exemplify the Gospel message in every action.
We will never forget what you did for us, and you will be continually in our prayers that God will bless your work.
