These are unprecedented and challenging times for health care workers and the community due to COVID-19. During times of crisis, people often look for ways to help. Our local hospitals and clinics have been blessed to receive food donations from many individuals, groups and companies and we are grateful. However, we are experiencing some disruptions in our routine as we focus on providing excellent care to our patients.
Genesis Medical Centers are still here, caring for our community. During the COVID-19 outbreak, Genesis is still delivering babies at Genesis Medical Centers in Davenport and Silvis; still treating cancer patients on the Davenport and Silvis campuses; still performing emergency procedures for heart patients; still treating trauma patients at both hospitals; still helping rehabilitation patients return to their homes; still providing necessary radiology and lab services; and, still providing behavioral health inpatient care.
During these challenging times of social distancing and altered schedules, it can be difficult to keep to our routines. One activity that is important to keep on your schedule is exercise.
Genesis Health System, East Rusholme Street, has temporarily added a COVID-19 triage tent during the outbreak.
Genesis Health System will open a second mobile collection sample site beginning Tuesday, March 24 at the Genesis HealthPlex in Moline at 3900 28th Ave Dr, Moline, IL 61265. This collection site and the Davenport site at 1520 West 53rd Street, Davenport, IA 52806 are both open from 8 am – 8 pm, Monday through Friday and 9 am – 4:30 pm on Saturday and Sunday. The collection sample sites accommodate residents now on both sides of the river, to safely test patients with flu symptoms, who have a provider referral.
