Chick-fil-A and Genesis Health System will partner this 4th of July holiday to benefit Quad City area cancer care.

Genesis Health System, a presenting sponsor of Red, White, and Boom!, is utilizing LeClaire Park in downtown Davenport as the Genesis Healthy Families Viewing Section this year for the fireworks display. Chick-fil-A  has generously offered to operate a food tent at LeClaire Park, and donate 10 percent of all proceeds to the Genesis Cancer Care Institute.

“We are very grateful for their generosity and interest in helping citizens of the Quad Cities who are dealing with cancer,” said Ken Croken, vice president of corporate communications, Genesis Health System. “We hope families from all around the area will come to LeClaire Park to enjoy the fireworks from a safe, welcoming setting, and take advantage of this great opportunity to support the Cancer Care Institute.”

The Chick-fil-A tent will open at 6 p.m. in LeClaire Park and will remain open until the fireworks begin.

The Genesis Healthy Families Viewing Section will be in LeClaire Park and will be open from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. Those wishing to attend are encouraged to bring a blanket and/or chairs, and to enjoy the fireworks from this prime viewing spot along the river.

Fireworks will begin at approximately 9 p.m.
