On April 4, 2020, Nathan Kilburg was knocked down and pinned under a skid loader on his farm near Preston, Iowa. He underwent emergency surgery to repair or fuse four lumbar vertebrae.

Test results for COVID-19 will soon be available in two hours or less for Quad-Cities patients. The laboratory at Genesis Medical Center-Silvis now has the DiaSorin MDX instrument specifically designed for testing COVID-19 samples. Laboratory staff at GMC-Silvis will validate and train on the instrument for two weeks before testing the first samples.
Genesis Health System, in collaboration with the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center, has initiated an investigational treatment with a century-old approach for two patients who are hospitalized with positive COVID-19 tests.

Our local hospitals and clinics have been blessed to receive food donations from many individuals, groups and companies and we are grateful. However, we are experiencing some disruptions in our routine as we focus on providing excellent care to our patients.
