If you have insurance, we will submit your bill directly to your insurance company for payment on your behalf. Registration staff will ask you for insurance information at each of your visits to ensure that we have the most current insurance information. Giving complete insurance information will help to get your insurance claim paid quickly. In most instances, more than one claim will be submitted to cover physician as well as hospital services provided. these are required to be billed on two different forms.
Other health care professionals affiliated with the hospital may also be billing you for their services rendered at our facility, either in the Emergency Department, or in conjunction with visits for other hospital-based services. Some hospital staff members may not be participating providers in the same insurance plans and networks as the hospital. This could lead to a greater patient financial responsibility for services provided by those health care professionals not under contract with the patients' healthcare plan. Any questions or concerns regarding your coverage of benefits should be directed to your health care plan and our certificate of coverage with them.
You will be notified if we are unable to submit claims to your insurance company on your behalf. If this occurs, we will ask you to pay Genesis directly for the care provided and you seek reimbursement from your insurance provider.
If you are requesting that we bill a liability carrier or workmen's compensation, we need complete information in order to bill the claims. If you do not have complete information when you are seen, we will give you a form to be completed and returned. The bill will be your responsibility until we receive the complete billing information. The other option is to bill your health insurance company on your behalf.

Financial Assistance/Payment Plan Options
You may be eligible for financial assistance under the terms and conditions the hospital offers to qualified patients. Financial assistance applications are available in the Patient Financial Counselor's Office, Customer Service Office, online, or by contacting our Customer Service Department at 800-250-6020 (toll free). In addition to financial assistance, Genesis does offer payment plan options to assist in resolving your bill. Our financial counselors or customer service representatives will be happy to discuss these options with you. For convenience, Genesis accepts Visa, Mastercard and Discover.
