Game Preview by Steve Tappa, Shootout Historian

Former United Township player and coach Marc Polite switches sides of the cross-river clash today. As the new coach of the North Wildcats, Polite inherits a club returning two of its three double-figure scorers from a season ago in the junior tandem of Quincy Wiseman and fellow college prospect Jayden Houston. On the opposite side, debuting Riverdale coach Alex Kelly relies on the competitive toughness of Ryan Bussert, a major player in the Rams’ recent string of three straight state golf trophies. Gabe Willems, a 6-foot-7 senior, also makes for a tough matchup most nights for a team that plays a lot of underclassmen.
