Four women, one receiving award

DAISY Award Winner - October 2021

Congratulations to our October DAISY Award Winner Chelsea Grimes, R.N.

Chelsea is a registered nurse in our BirthCenter at Genesis Medical Center - East Campus.

Here's what Chelsea's nominator had to say about her, "Chelsea was our nurse in postpartum the day we were suppose to leave the hospital. Chelsea came in and conducted an in-depth workup of our baby Bennett. Chelsea was so thorough and professional with our baby she caught what other nurses and the doctor that had been treating him since his birth did not catch. She was able to catch a heart arrhythmia and that his oxygen was very low. Chelsea jumped into action and moved him to the nurses station until her request to move him to the NICU happened shortly after. We have been in the NICU for a week now working through pulmonary hypertension and some other worries. Without her amazing abilities, knowledge and professionalism it would be likely we would have gone home and been a good candidate for a SIDS case. All the staff has been amazing through this time but above all - Chelsea is above par! Chelsea deserves recognition for not just doing her job but doing it with amazing skills and hospitality."

Great job, Chelsea!
